about us

In 2000, Taekwondo (TKD) was officially introduced as an Olympic sporting event in Sydney. The fast-paced, full-contact Korean sport started growing rapidly in North America in the early 1950s. Saint-Lazare/Hudson TKD practices the same WTF branch (World Taekwondo Federation), involving kicking techniques, cardio-vascular training and the option to compete at regional, provincial, national and international levels.

Saint-Lazare/Hudson TKD, also known as Centre d’Entraînement Haute Performance du Sud-Ouest (CEHP-SO), is a non-profit organization founded in Saint-Lazare in 1999. For 24 years, Saint-Lazare/Hudson TKD has trained over 2,500 students, from ages 5 through 75.

Training is provided under the scrutinous supervision and meticulous teachings of Great Grand Master Sami Mazraani (8th dan) and Grand Master André Zaraa (7th dan). Ensuring an excellent student-to-teacher ratio, three or more instructors are always present, in addition to one of the aforementioned instructors are Master Kim Tetley (5th dan), Matthew Elliot (2nd dan) and Kaitlyn Ip (1st dan).

Classes are given three times a week and additional fighting classes are offered for competitors. Come check it out!
